Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that technical and professional education is the key for an efficient workforce to be the launching pad for industrialization and economic growth of the province. He made a number of decisions for construction of buildings for vocational training centers both for women and men, the shifting of TEVTA head office to Hayatabad, construction of Aircraft Hanger, and transfer of 384 kanal of land for PAF Air University, in a high level meeting at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar.
The meeting was attended by Head of SSU Sahibzada Saeed, Air Commodore Muhammad Amin, administrative secretaries of concerned departments, Commissioner Peshawar and other high ups that made a number of decisions which included the transfer of 384 kanal provincial government land to PAF for Air University on lease. Chief Minister issued a number of directives in this regard. The Chief Minister directed the SMBR to finalize the leasing formalities. The Chief Minister also directed the Secretary P&D and C&W Department to revise the PC-I for the construction of Air Hanger for the KP Government. He also constituted a committee comprising Principal Advisor to CM KP on technical training aviation and Commissioner Peshawar to be headed by Secretary Industries to look into the proposal for the Housing of the TEVTA headquarter and submit recommendations on two options that was shifting of co-located GTVC (women) to GPI (Women) Hayatabad building and posting the surplus manpower to nearby institutes.
The Chief Minister directed the DC Nowshera to prepare necessary documentations for the transfer of available land to KP TEVTA for the construction of building for vocational training center women Nowshera. The encroached land should be cleared and the summary should be processed in this regard. He also approved the transfer of Ceramic Training Center Akora Khattak to KP TEVTA which should be used for GTVC (B) Jehangira. He directed that the allocated fund should be used for the renovation of the CTC building taken over from SIDB.
Regarding the transfer of plot at Batkhela for the construction of GTVC Batkhela, Pervez Khattak directed to get the opinion of the Housing Department before the transferring of the plot to KP TEVTA. He also directed to complete the handing over taking over of the SIDB building at Urmar Payan to KP TEVTA for GTVC and the building of the center should be used as a training institute. He also directed to complete the handing over and taking over of Ceramic Training Center to KP TEVTA and the same building should also be sued as training center.
The Chief Minister directed that work on the project for establishing Commercial Aircraft Maintenance College at Rashakai should be undertaken on priority basis. He also directed to include students from KP TEVTA Training Institute for the formalization course. He also directed to immediately conduct training programme at per his directive in the reputed Institutions. He also asked to process the amendments in the KP TEVTA Rules. he also directed his Principal Advisor to visit Dir for exploring and transfer of 1000 kanal land for the establishment of Cadet College as offered by the public representative of the area. He also directed to proceed further for the over hauling of MI-171 Helicopter as per the agreement as the meeting was informed about the arrival of Russian Helicopter representative.
Pervez Khattak directed to complete the protection wall at Dallas drain at Warsak road within the current Fiscal Year. However he asked to submit the cost estimate for the rehabilitation of Canal Water Supply Scheme to PAF Academy Asghar Khan Risalpure which he assured would be approved. He also directed for the deployment of teaching staff in the PAF Academy Risalpure.
The Chief Minister directed the DC Swat for the acquisition of 500 kanal land for PAF Base Saidu Sharif. He also directed the District Administration for the transfer of land to Schools, Hospitals, Vocational Institutes in Mingora. He also directed to transfer the land of National Park at Kheweshgi Nowshera to Tourism Department for further leasing to PAF. He also directed to cancel all detailment orders and properly locate the official in their respective Institutions. He also directed to immediately prepare a draft agreement for the National Park at Kheweshgi.
