Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has agreed in principle to the idea of formulating a KP Economic Development Board that could provide a coherent economic direction to the province and operationalize development plans in clean and transparent manner. He was talking to Ghulam Dastagir, the Chiarman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company who called on him at Chief Minister House Peshawar and discussed various issues of importance for the Province. They deliberated at length on the matter of formulating a K-P Economic Development Board in the vast interest of economic development of the province. The Chief Minister principally agreed to the idea of such a body and it was decided that more work would be done to make it a reality. They further discussed the means of raising the profile of K-P province as a premier destination for trade and investment in Pakistan. The Chief Minister said that his Government has successfully done the fundamental ground work for an Investment-friendly environment in the K-P province of Pakistan by establishing peace and security; providing good governance and transparency, and institutional reforms adding that now it has become a matter of great significance that this positive message be effectively conveyed to the rest of the world particularly Investor Community, he added. On the occasion, it was decided the Government of K-P will hold International Conferences and Business Briefs for both local and foreign investors. The budget for these symposia was also approved by the Chief Minister in the meeting. <><><><><><>
