Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed for the reconstitution of Board of the Governors of Ayub Medical College Abbottabad

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed for the reconstitution of Board of the Governors of Ayub Medical College Abbottabad in order to bring dynamism to the fruitful operationalization of the institution. The Chief Minister also directed the Commissioner Peshawar to take curative measures for controlling Dengue virus in Peshawar. The Commissioner Peshawar should take the District Nazim, Tehsil Nazim and local elected representatives on board and evolve a strategy to overcome Dengue in the city. He was presiding over two different meetings on reconstitution of Board of Governors of Ayub Medical College and taking curative measures to control Dengue in Peshawar City at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar. Senior Minister Shahram Tarakai, Provincial Minister Qalandar Lodhi, Advisor to Chief Minister Mushtaq Ghani, Head of Strategic Support Unit Sahibzada Saeed, Secretary Health Abid Majeed and others attended. Chief Minister directed to formally submit the enquiry report regarding irregularities in the Ayub Medical Complex so that proper action could be initiated against the elements responsible for these irregularities. No one is above the law, adding that if somebody committed corruption then he would never escape punishment. The meeting reviewed different proposals for the effectiveness and dynamism in the working of the Ayub Medical College and adopted some of them. The meeting agreed to take steps for the reconstitution of the Board of Governors of the Ayub Medical College. Pervez Khattak also directed the health department to initiate steps on emergency basis for the prevention and against the spread of Dengue virus in Peshawar. He also directed the health department for proper look after of the patient affected by the virus, provide them efficient healthcare and properly monitor the ground situation in this regard. He also directed to hold follow up meetings to fully understand the situation and proper action plan could be launched to control Dengue virus. The Chief Minister advised the people to help the government in the cleanliness drive. He also directed for accelerated awareness raising of the people against the Dengue virus. =========
