Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has approved the extension of Sehat Insaf Card to all employees of public and autonomous bodies including University, Medical institutes, lawyers, journalists etc.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has approved the extension of Sehat Insaf Card to all employees of public and autonomous bodies including University, Medical institutes, lawyers, journalists etc. However the employees of relevant developments would have to give premium as the present facility of Sehat Insaf Card was only for the poor. The Chief Minister directed to give option to the government employees, journalists, lawyers and all others as per request by different departments. All those and the concerned developments requested for the facility would have to pay premium opting for the facility of Sehat Insaf Card. This decision was taken by the Chief Minister during a meeting he presided over regarding extension of Sehat Insaf Card to 69% of the population of the province at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar. The secretary health gave a detail presentation on the extension of Sehat Insaf Card saying that under the Chief Minister directive this facility would be extended to 24 lakh families of the province thus it would enhance healthcare cover to 69% of the total population. Previously it was available for 51% of the population. Under the extension plan, 7 Lakh additional families would be provided Sehat Insaf Card. Necessary steps have already been taken and agreement was reached with statelife insurance which would be renewed on 31st August 2017. New cards would be printed by 31st October 2017 and would be distributed by 31 December 2017. The newly included families would get healthcare facilities under the Sehat Insaf Card by 1st July 2018. Chief Minister was also briefed that information department had a requested for the journalists, Advocate General for the lawyers, culture department for the artists and social welfare department for transvestit for extension of Sehat Insaf Card. The Chief Minister approved the scheme and directed that the relevant department would have to ensure giving premium for the purpose adding that Sehat Insaf Card was originally introduced for the poor and deserving families of the province who have no enough resources to get healthcare facilities. However, the request made by different departments for different segments would be facilitated through Sehat Insaf Card, provided they accept the option to give premium. The Secretary health was directed to write to the concerned department and hold consultation for the purpose. <><><><><> Handout No.2 Peshawar 30th July 2017 Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed to complete restoration of culture heritage in Gor Gatheri Peshawar by December 30,2017. He said that the cultural heritage should be restored in its original shape. After the completion he hoped that the cultural heritage of the Peshawar would attract tourists and it would also add to the beautification of Peshawar. He was presiding over a meeting at Chief Minister House Peshawar. MPA Shaukat Yousafzai, Secretary Tourism and others attended the meeting. The meeting was briefed about the whole plan, its design for the restoration of cultural heritage of Peshawar which would be completed in September of current year. The project completion would take four months. The project has a target of renovating 135 buildings, proper look after and the business earning features of the project. The meeting was told that the fiber and other transmission would be laid down underground and the existing transformers would be upgraded, reducing the existing 25 transformers to 9 transformers of High load and that too would be covered. The cultural heritage being developed at international level would attract the tourists at mass scale. The Chief Minister agreed to the original proposal and directed to share the plan with the Information Technology board adding that the process of implementation should be expedited to complete it by December 30th, 2017.
