Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said his government was contemplating for raising the salaries and allowances of all employees including in the medical profession and other professions throughout the province. The vacant positions would be filled soon and the up-gradation of posts and promotion of employees would be expedited, he assured. He was presiding over a meeting at Chief Minister Secretariat that focused on the provision of staff and equipments for Saidu Medical College Swat and Baghdheri Nehar Canal Matta and other issues related to irrigation in Swat. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Sports Mehmood Khan, MPAs Fazile Hakim, Dr. Haider Ali and representatives of finance, communication & works, irrigation, principal of Saidu Medical College, Nazimeen of Swat and others. The meeting made a number of decisions for the provision of staff and equipments to the Saidu Medical College. The Chief Minister said that he had made a number of decisions during his visit to swat wherein he had already inaugurated the academic block, the hostel, the lecturer theatres and the laboratories etc for the college. His government has allocated Rs.800 million for the provision of all requirements of the college, resolution of irrigation related problems of Bagh Dehri irrigation scheme and promotion of tourism in the district. Pervez Khattak directed for all out efforts to implement the decisions he had made for district Swat. He said that there are number of spots to be developed on tourism lines but his government could not ignore the development of agriculture in the district. The district was fertile and could be developed as agrarian producing its own agriculture products and get self sufficiency in food and agriculture productivity. He assured provision of additional funding for the agriculture sector development and efficient irrigation system in the district. The Chief Minister assured his government would continue adhering to its manifesto and would fulfill all the promises as per its manifesto. He said that his government has formulated a uniform and a judicious formula for distribution of resources and the share of all districts had been protected. Such areas which were ignored in the past would get more focus, he assured adding that his government would provide all resources required for the infrastructure development in Swat district and provision of social services to the people of the entire division. <>><><><><>
