Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak approved 4-tier formula for rapid promotion of doctor’s community with the aim to improve their working conditions.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak approved 4-tier formula for rapid promotion of doctor’s community with the aim to improve their working conditions. He formally signed the summary put forth by the Health Department in this regard at Chief Minister’s House Peshawar. The summary was sent to the Chief Minister in light of his own directives. Under this formula medical officers (BPS-17) will get 50%, senior medical officers (BPS-18) to get 34%, principal medical officers (BPS-19) will have 15% and chief medical officers (BPS-20) will receive the share of one per cent in the overall promotion quota of the medical cadre. The Provincial Minister for Local Government Inayatullah, Secretary Health Abid Majeed and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Israr were also present on the occasion. Pervez Khattak asked Secretary Health on this occasion to spare no efforts to provide all possible facilities and incentives to the doctors and paramedical staff in the province with the only condition of providing best medi-care facilities to the people at their door steps upto village, union council, tehsil and district level and to restore confidence of the masses on public sector health institutions. He expressed the confidence that improving the working conditions would enable the doctors community to fully focus on providing best treatment facilities to the patients and addressing the health issues of the people throughout the province. =====
