Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak announced, his government was holding a Road Show in Beijing on April 16th & 17th and directed to plan both government to government and business to business projects for marketing in the road show. He approved standard guidelines for MoU for all the CPEC and Non CPEC projects and directed the 10 member organizing committee to identify timelines for these projects and make foolproof arrangement including allocation for the project in the ADP, he added. He was presiding over a high level meeting on Beijing Road Show here at Chief Minister House Peshawar which was attended by Chief Secretary Abid Saeed, ACS Azam, administrative secretaries, Chairman EZDMC Ghulam Dastagir and other relevant officials. The Chief Minister tasked the 10 member organizing committee to finalize all arrangements including a comprehensive format and enhanced interaction to make the road show a success story. He asked the participants of the meeting to finalize short listing of the projects both for CPEC and Non CPEC as well. Pervez Khattak indicated the Gilgit Chitral Dir Chakdra route will become part of the CPEC which will be an all weathers route therefore he directed to collect all statistics both of weather and other data relating to the implementation process. He also directed to plan a comprehensive security cover for all the CPEC and Non CPEC projects in KP. He also directed for the security policy and guideline. He also asked the Secretary P&D to follow the progress on all MoUs and get them clear from the C&W department. He also directed for the gap financing for the projects viability adding that the foreign investors would develop D.I.Khan Industrial zone where they would carry out feasibility and the production of electricity from conversion of natural gas. He also approved revolving fund for the proposed road show. Pervez Khattak directed for accelerated progress on Bus Terminal which would be marketed in the Road Show. The old bus terminal would be allocated for CPEC Tower, commercial plazas, hotels and other commercial activities. He directed to acquire land for the first phase of the main bus terminal at Chamkani to be developed at 900 Kanal of land. Chief Minister also directed to plan Kohat Bypass, Warsak Road, Abbottabad by pass etc and prepare a layout for onward marketing in the road show. He also directed to acquire additional 2000 acres of land for the motorway economic zone. The meeting was informed that more than 10 local private investors would participate in the road show. The Chief Minister directed to prepare projects for business to business as well. Meanwhile the Chief Minister was given a comprehensive briefing about the greater Peshawar Circular Railway project. Provincial Minister Imtiaz Querashi, Chairman EZDMC Ghulam Dastagir, CEO EZDMC Mohsin Syed also participated. The addressing the participants of the presentation, Chief Minister directed to prepare a letter of NoC and added that the circular railway project would be autonomous and would be out of control of the federal government. Either the federal government would settle and run all the affairs of greater Peshawar Circular Railway or we would develop a separate railway track and we would acquire land for this because his government wanted this project to be viable project. The Chief Minister also directed to plan parking and commercial plazas for the project so that it could earn its own resources. The Chief Minister hoped by this project the people of central districts would have efficient traveling facilities. It would be part of the overall beautification of entire Peshawar valley and it would open up entire Malakand division and Northern parts of the province for tourism purposes, he concluded. <><><><><>
