Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak had a meeting with the Korean Ambassador Suh Dung-gu at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar today that reviewed the extended Korean investment and cooperation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Welcoming the Korean Cooperation the Chief Minister informed him about the bright future of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His government ensured an enable environment for trade and rapid economic activities in his province, believing that this part would integrate the entire central Asian Republic in trade and economic activities. He said his government was holding a Road Show in China on 16th and 17th of April to market the potential advantages of the province in different sectors. The meeting which was also attended by Chairman EZDMC Ghulam Dastagir, Principal Secretary to CM Muhammad Israr had a detailed discussion on the mutual expansion of cultural relations, economic driven activities, tourism, IT, Renewable energy, mines & mineral and infrastructure development and the possible Korean investment in these sectors. The Korean Ambassador appreciated the KP pro-investment policy specially the fast expanding hydro power generation and desired to invest in energy and IT sectors. Both the leaders stood committed to promote the soft image of both the countries. Pervez Khattak appreciated the Korean Ambassador’s gesture of friendship and informed him of different initiatives, his government started for industrialization leading to better economic future for the province. He told him his government had already prepared 100 projects both for CPEC and Non CPEC and all these would be showcased in the Bejing Road Show. His government was also planning an industrial city on Motorway that will become part of the CPEC. Gilgit Chitral Dir Chakdara road would become an alternate route to CPEC integrating the whole central Asian States. His government would add four thousand Mega watt of electricity to the national grid by the end of his government tenure, he added. Regarding the merger of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Chief Minister told the visiting guest, his government wanted the merger of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that he added was the best available solution and was in the best interest of the people.
