Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that European investors while looking keenly at millions dollars Chinese investment in the KP have also expressed their willingness to divert their capital to the province. Addressing an inaugural function of the Suzuki Shinwari Motors here Thursday the Chief Minister said that The KP is becoming the hub of foreign investment due to province’s potential in diversified fields. The Government has taken cogent measures for fast track industrialization of the province because of its edge due to God gifted natural resources over other federating units. Lauding the activities of the Suzuki motors in the province, the Chief Minister thanked them for promoting investment opportunities in this part of the country. The Chief Minister recalled that corruption and irregularities in the government’s departments were main hurdles in the industrial development of the province and added that his government improved law and order situation and created conducive environment for industrialization. We provided attractive incentives to the industrialist under the KP industrial policy. A new era of development has begun in the province he said adding Western route of the CPEC was of paramount importance in increase the trading and industrial activities in the province. Gilgit, Chitral-Chakdara has become alternate route of CPEC and this region is about to open to the world. This route would strengthen trade activities with Afghanistan, through Wakhan and to the entire central Asia and other adjacent countries. Agreement has been signed with China for the construction of industrial zone at Jalozai Motorway over four thousand kanal of lands. China has also expressed the desire to invest in Rashakai industrial estate and regulation of labor intensive industries. The KP is all set to hold the road show by end of March this year in Beijing where will market our hydropower potential, minerals, tourism, agriculture and other sectors. We are expecting 20 to 30 billion rupees investment in the KP in the next three to four months. The Chief Minister said that in Peshawar we have three CPEC projects. Practical work on Rs40bn Rabi Rapid Bus Transit project will start in May this year. The traffic system will be integrated through eight routes from Chamkani to Hayatabad as 380 buses would play on this route. Terminal is being constructed in Chamkani over 900 kanal of land to address the transports problem for the time being. It would be constructed on commercial lines. All the bus stands would be shifted to the terminal. CPEC tower would be established in place of the bus stands to be vacated. <><><><><><><><>
