Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed the quarter concerned to submit him a report regarding upgradation of Sub Tehsil Darosh district Chitral to Tehsil level

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed the quarter concerned to submit him a report regarding upgradation of Sub Tehsil Darosh district Chitral to Tehsil level and submission of proposal about Athak power station costing Rs.5 billion. This power station will generate 200 mega watt electricity and 15thousnad acres land will be brought under cultivation. He also hinted at handing over this project to a Chinese company. He was talking to a representative delegation of district Chitral led by Abdul Wali Khan Advocate, at CM House Peshawar. Other members included Razeet billah, Rehmat Ghazi, Shah Hussain Shah, Haji Mukhtar, Aludin urfi, Nazeer aHmad, Minhaj and Sardar Hakim. Chief Minister said that authorities will be established for development of other tourist spots including Swat, Naran, Kaghan, and chitral. He said that FWO was working on 800 Mega Watt electricity project in Chitral while 1700 Mega Watt project was part of CPEC for which Chinese company were arriving soon. Chief Minister also enquired about the progress on rehabilitation work on flood affected Raishoon Power station. The concerns authorities informed that PC-1 of the project had been prepared. Chief Minister also directed to expedite work on rehabilitation of roads in interior Chitral City adding that Rs.one billion had already been provided for developmental schemes in Chitral. Change should be visible now adding that 30% developmental fund had already been diverted towards local government with complete autonomy to local government system. District, Tehsil and Village councils should work for the development of their areas with full devotion. He also directed the local government representatives to give special attention on sanitation in their areas. Chief Minister said that billion of Rupees were being spent on the establishment of university campuses and colleges at district level. <><><><><>
