Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed for the full operationalization of TEVTA’s centers throughout the province in order to produce skill manpower to cope with the rapid industrialization in the backdrop of CPEC.

He was presiding over a meeting on the monitoring, evolution and performance of TEVTA at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar. Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Technical Education Arshad Umerzai, Air Commodore Amin and administrative secretaries attended. The meeting had a review of the performance of TEVTA and the newly started monitoring mechanism of its centers throughout the province.
The Chief Minister directed to settle the land acquisition for different centers of the TEVTA adding that his government would handover few centers to the Chinese companies for training of youth in their required trades. The relevant quarters in collaboration with the EZDMC should identify certain centers in the different economic zones to be handed over to Chinese companies and MoUs in this regard would be signed soon, he added. He said the Chinese companies were working on the relocation of different industrial units including heavy vehicles and the Air Force should also coordinate with the EZDMC for running some of the centers of TEVTA.
The Chief Minister on the request of Air Force assured to support the acquisition of land for the construction of a mega city in Rashakai adding that that FWO was already working on Smart cities in Rashakai Industrial Zone and Peshawar. He directed for the mechanism using the available Rs.700 million for the training and technical education under the laid down procedure for the youth. He wished to focus on training and education in the emerging trades. He also directed for training in both the left and right hand driving and directed to plan scholarships and other financial help for the poor students.
Pervez Khattak directed the TEVTA to start construction of its own headquarter in Gulbahar. He also directed for the improved examination system and the NTS and ETEA should be replicated in this regard. TEVTA, he added had challenges in the near future in the backdrop of CPEC and it had to provide latest training to the youth. He directed that once the staff in these centers are completed, there would be complete ban on transfer and posting of teachers of TEVTA, he concluded.
