Defence Day


Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that 6th September 1965 is a historic day as our armed forces rewrote a new history of bravery clearing it to the enemy that if we can get freedom despite the stiff resistance of anti Islamic forces then we know how to safeguard our freedom. The enemy should not be under any fallacy as the nation was shoulder-to-shoulder with the armed forces in safeguarding the ideological and geographical frontiers of the motherland and would sacrifice everything for the motherland, he added. In a message on the 6th September, the Chief Minister said that there was rare examples of the sacrifices in the history of nations that was rendered by our armed forces, its officers and jawans who enthusiastically safeguarded the geographical frontiers of Pakistan. He said that the spirit of the armed forces on the 6th September 1965 demonstrated by the armed forces and the Pakistani nation was unmatched. Today, we needed the same enthusiasm for safeguarding the ideological and geographical frontiers of the country and its stability as well, he added. He said today, we ought to renew the same spirit proving to the world that Pakistani nation would never spare any movement for the protection, development and prosperity of the motherland. Pervez Khattak said that during his four year rule in the province, his government contributed matchless steps to ensure public wellbeing which had far reaching results adding that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the security forces and the police also rendered supreme sacrifices in the war-on-terror which was unforgettable. Chief Minister reminded to be watchful of all the anti state activities of the internal and external enemies who were out to weaken the ideological and geographical frontiers of the country. We have to prove that we know the art of foiling the nefarious designs of the enemies. He said we are to subordinate our personal interest to the national interest on this day and work for the welfare of the people and strengthening of the country. =======
