The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has acknowledged the fact that People’s Republic of China has achieved highest goals of miraculous development in a very short span of time.

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has acknowledged the fact that People’s Republic of China has achieved highest goals of miraculous development in a very short span of time. “It is because of the tireless hard work of Chinese people that is also exemplary for Pakistanis to follow the pursuit to enter the mainstream of developed world”, he added. The Chief Minister “while thanking the government and people of China for befriending us in every odd hour and extending cooperation in our endeavors for development, hoped that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be duly benefitted of the fruits of Chinese prosperity and experience in backdrop of CPEC projects implementation process”. He was talking Mr. Wang Liang, CRE Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) Chinese investment company at Chief Minister House, Peshawar who offered large scale investment in various sectors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mr. Wang revealed that his state owned company enjoyed vast experience of global level in town development, construction and management of various sectors including rail, roads, airports, buildings, energy generation, water supply, sewerage, solid waste and services. He said modernity and dignity of the Chinese capital of 30 million populations spoke the role of this company of the city government that contributed 80% constructions and developments. He told the company also had the principle of training of the manpower on scientific line before launching the projects. He evinced keen interest to participate in the three day Beijing Road Show of KP government as well as to make large scale investment in town planning, construction of highways, high rise buildings, exploitation of minerals, tourism, environment and other numerous sectors. Besides Aamir Kiyani, Mohsin Sheikh and some other local industrialists, provincial Minister for PHE Shah Farman Khan, one window operation incharge of EZDMC Faisal Hayat Khan, principal secretary to the Chief Minister Muhammad Israr Khan and other concerned authorities were also present on this occasion. The Chief Minister appreciated the arrangements and preparation of EZDMC and provincial departments for the forthcoming Beijing Road Show being started on 16th of this month. He said foreign investors were contacting the provincial government and showing willingness for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before the Road Show that was the proof of the success of the road show. He said that over 70 vital mega projects were being presented in the road show that covered the needs of our province and people as well as proper utilization of the rich resources and raw material available here. He said interest of the foreign investors in the industrialization of the province due to attractive incentives of the government was indeed a good omen that would ensure a new revolutionary era of the overall development of the province and prosperity of the people. He directed the EZDMC authorities to immediately sit with the investment company and finalize the MoU for investment in the areas of the expertise of the company including town, mineral development and energy generation. Pervez Khattak said that his government was eager to focus on uniform socio economic development of the entire province in all walks of life instead of focusing on a particular sector or area with a sincere bid to remove the curse of backwardness, poverty and unemployment from the province. He said a comprehensive plan of exploiting the available mineral resources and raw material as well as crystal clear and mineral policy has been chalked out with addition of guarantees and facilitation of the investors under one window operation. He agreed to the fact that cheap manpower was also available in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa like that in China wherein educated but unemployed youth of the province wanted to prove their talent by dint of their hard work in various sectors. He said provincial government was already endvouring to provide proper facilities of trainings and jobs to the unemployed youth that would be the supporting work force for the foreign investors. He asked the authorities concerned to provide the training centers of TEVTA to the company for the purpose so that all districts especially the backward areas of the province got equal share of training and jobs for youth.
