Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has directed the administration to be watchful and focused monitoring the movement of doubtful elements, terrorists, trigger happy and Afghan refugees in their respective areas

Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice Retd. Dost Muhammad Khan has directed the administration to be watchful and focused monitoring the movement of doubtful elements, terrorists, trigger happy and Afghan refugees in their respective areas. The administration should monitoring the entry and exit routes to and from the province, enhance the intelligence sharing level amongst the intelligence outfits and make redeployment in police stations of sensitive areas. There should be complete arrangements including foods etc. He directed to cancel all holidays of all psychiatrists of public sector hospitals throughout the province. He gave these directives in a detailed presentation made by Commissioner Hazara Division Amjad Ali Khan and Regional Police Officer Muhammad Alam Shinwari on the arrangements of peaceful conduct of elections in the Hazara division. Officers of the district administration and police attended. The Caretaker Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements in the Hazara Division and added that his caretaker set up had to ensure free, fair and transparent elections as per commandment of the constitution. To facilitate the peaceful and transparent conduct of general elections, his set up would provide all necessary back up support and required resources. Justice Retd. Dost Muhammad Khan directed the administration and police officers to ensure transportation of security personnel to the far flung areas in the division. The administration and police can even make locally available transport facility for the transportation of police personnel for onward deployment in the otherwise inaccessible and far flung areas of the division. The healthcare unit and the health workers should be ensured everywhere to meet any eventuality and emergency healthcare in far off areas. The polling stations should have all the facilities including the healthcare of first aid and emergency nature, he added. Caretaker Chief Minister appreciated the polling and security arrangements in the division adding that the administration and police have a shared responsibilities and that is important for the transparent and fair elections. The police and the administration should not lose sight of the emotionally attached voters and supporters of political parties. The support of the locals is crucial and the administration and police should monitor movements in order to avert any saboteur activity that might subvert the peaceful and transparent conduct of elections. The administration should also take care of the bickering especially in the female police stations. Dost Muhammad Khan said he had requested for the repatriation of 80% of Frontier Constabulary back to the province for ensuring peaceful and secure conduct of elections in the province. He would request the Government of Gitgit and Baltistan to check any infiltration to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, if any that is very much required for the smooth and secure conduct of elections in the province. Caretaker Chief Minister called upon the public servants to stay focused to their responsibilities and should not become a party in the elections. He will approach the relevant quarters for taking all legal steps against anyone making violations. The next cabinet meeting will take for debate important issues about the peaceful and transparent conduct of elections in the province, he concluded.
