Formation of authorized national commission for education consisting upon real experts for preparation of unified syllabus for the whole country that could address the new age challenges

Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Justice Retd. Dost Muhammad Khan stressed the need for the formation of authorized national commission for education consisting upon real experts for preparation of unified syllabus for the whole country that could address the new age challenges . He said if we could not take this step today, the future of the nation will be in danger. He said that respectful teacher-student-relations are needed for producing honest and dedicated professionals. He advised the parents and teachers to express devotion and commitment. He regretted that unlike the past, the present teacher students relations are based on commercial lines. He said that we have to provide proper training for the character building of the students. He announced a dinner party in Chief Minister House in the honour of position holder students, their parents and teachers of SSC annual examination under BISE Peshawar. He was addressing as a chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of position holders of annual examination of BISe Peshawar held at a local hotel Peshawar. Secretary Education Shahid Zaman, Chairman BISE Peshawar Prof. Fazal Rehman, Controller Examination Prof. Malik Maqsood Anwar and other high level officers attended the meeting. Caretaker Chief Minister indicated to grant cash prizes from his pocket. He congratulated the position holder students, their parents and teachers. He praised and expressed satisfaction over the modern reforms introduced by BISE Peshawar, such as provision of free online results, eDMC and other facilities through email. He directed to take serious steps to put the education department on rapid progress to meet the future challenges and suggested the formation of national commission for education which could set the future objectives. He said that there should be one syllabus for education from Khyber to Karachi. He also stressed on the training of teachers equipping them the skills of modern teaching methodology. He further suggested that 40% of the total resources should be spent on education then we will be able to control over problems. He said that if we want to take the country forward, we have to invest in the field of education. While pointing to the causes of national degradation, he said that unfortunately the elements of respect and affection have been eliminated between teacher and student. Mr. Justice (R) Dost Muhammad Khan revealed that despite having limited authority his government would leave behind a strong legacy , a road map and policy for the coming elected government. He said that once there was a time when teachers considered students just like their own kids and students used to give a parents status to their teachers. We have to renew this relationship. Dost Muhammad Khan said that we all have to show devotion to come out of these crises. He said that the role of parents particularly mother is very important in all this process of child training. Later on, he distributed cash prizes among the prominent position holder students. Sara Yousaf of Peshawar Model Girls School II Dalazak Road Peshawar got 1st position, Toba Gul and Bakhtawar of the said school got 2nd, Sunnia Shah of University model School got 3rd position. In arts group Linta Khan got first position by getting 958 marks, Husain Ullah of Usmania Academy Nothia got 2nd position by getting 939 marks, and Sajid Ullah of the said academy got 3rd position by getting 932 marks. The first position holder was awarded Rs. 50 thousand, 2nd position holder 45 thousand and 3rd position with 40 thousand cash prize.
